patchwork: raised rose

 

Make a fabric rose by attaching a large hexagon to a smaller hexagon patch and twisting the excess fabric into a rose shape. To create a different flower, decorate the centre of the flower with buttons, beads or embroidery. This technique is perfect for adding a raised texture to patchwork designs or as an embellishment or patch for bags and cushions. This workshop involves hand sewing and small stitches.
