privacy policy

Luise Roberts is committed to protecting the personal information you provide us with when visiting our site. We collect and use your information depending on the way(s) in which you interact with us. We take your privacy extremely seriously; we will only use your personal data in the way that the law allows us to. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it.

The personal data we collect

When you place an online order, we collect your name, postal address, phone number and email address. Without this information, your order cannot be processed. We need your address for delivery and your contact details (email address and telephone number) in case we need to contact you regarding your order.

If you sign up to an email newsletter, we collect your email address. You can add more contact information later on if you want to, but this is not a stipulation.

If you enter into correspondence with us, such as an email conversation in regards to an order or pattern query, for example, we will have access to your email address.

You can at any time request that we give you details of or amend/remove the information we hold in regards to your personal data.

The organisations and companies your personal data is shared with

If you have created an account on our web site and have placed and paid for an order, then your information will be shared accordingly to those who require it. In the case of an online postal order, this will be with the delivery provider (Royal Mail or Parcel Force) and the payment processor (PayPal) as well as the IT software providers that host our website and our email service provider. Your details will be seen by the member(s) of our staff who pick and package your order.

If you have signed up for an email newsletter, then your information may be shared with Mailchimp and Wix.

To comply with the law, we have an obligation to HM Revenue and Customs and other authorities such as the police, regulatory bodies, legal advisors or similar third parties to disclose or share personal data if required.

We do not sell personal data to any third parties and will not do so in the future.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us, but please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Newsletters and marketing

We send emails to members of our mailing list via Mailchimp. Your details will not be added to our mailing list unless you give us permission and you can remove your permission and stop receiving emails by clicking on the unsubscribe option, which you will find at the bottom of every email. We do not send direct postal marketing, but sometimes we do add leaflets and postcards (mostly in relation to our products or third party yarn shows and events) to your orders.
